About me
Terry started his professional career as an accomplished hair stylist and platform artist with Salon Systems, the distributor for Aveda products in Wisconsin and Illinois.
Terry began his formal art education in 2002, studying under Palm Springs art instructors Betty Jacobs (oils) and Kathy Dunham (drawing).
After relocating to the Seattle, Washington area, Terry also studied oil painting under Ilona Rittler in Bellevue, and pursued his floral interests as he became a certified Master Gardenerthrough the Washington State University Extension Program in Snohomish County. This led Terry to become a Board Member of Edmonds in Bloom, a 501(c)3 organization active in community beautification in Edmonds, Washington from 2007 to 2010.
At Shoreline Community College, Terry studied photography under Mateo Zachai and Howard Hsu, who both lit his fire for a new craft and showed him a new way of conveying his artistic vision. His drawing instructor at SCC was Elizabeth Halfacre. Terry received his Associate of Arts & Sciences degree from Shoreline.
Starting with a (borrowed) Sony DSLR, Terry quickly discovered the joy of full frame digital photography with his first Canon product – the amazing Canon 5D Mark II. Using all the digital tools available today, Terry uses an Apple iMac, Aperture, Photoshop, and Canon imaging products to bring you the images you see on his website: www.thvisions.com
That is an impressive list of accomplishments and the photos on your first blog, again impressive. I do hope that you continue with your blogging, just to see into your world. Very nicely done.
Thank you Sandra, your compliments are greatly appreciated. I will be posting different subjects every month. The subjects will pertain to artistic terms and the techniques used to achieve the images that are presented.
